The Killers

Killers

The second time this year a hit-man is being paired with an average girl he has to tag along with while dodging bullets. This time he’s played by Ashton Kutcher who quits his job when he meets Katherine Heigl’s character while she’s on vacation and he’s doing a job. They fall in love but he never tells her anything about his past, well not when she’s conscious anyway.

Most people want more exciting lives, he just wants an every man’s life. But this being a job you can’t quit like that, he’s contacted after three years by his former boss. This sets of a chain of events that will lead to Heigl finding out about her husband’s past and dodging bullets. Bullets shot at them by their closest friends and neighbors who turn out to be contracted killers.

Killers is an average action comedy with some laughs and some nice action scenes but lacks an essential ingredient; chemistry between the two leads; Kutcher and Heigl. They never convinced me as a couple, rather two people who have been put together by producers and casting people who weren’t paying attention during casting.
