Drawings

When I went to the ’Grafisch Lyceum‘  I started to create the contents of my ’black book‘; the contents which is for most part shown on this site. It contains sketches, drawings and cartoons I created from 1994 to 1999. In that period I was influenced, apart from the already existing influences of games, films and cartoons, by hardcore house. This music style and the scene around it were heavily featured in my expressionism’s. I also got a new tool in that year. I started fiddling around with copic markers which were a lot better to color than the previous tools I used.

Nowadays I only draw to create stuff that I have to create on the computer; a design for a character to be in my Christmas-animations for instance. Maybe there will be a day when I open up my black book and look at it thinking by myself: ’It’s time for a part 2" Until then it’s chapter is on its own in my life and a selection of the contents of that chapter is placed in this section of my site.
