Dark Angels Logo

Dark Angels

Created: 28-08-98

This was a logo designed for a friend of mine, Peter Ottervanger, who had a street-skaters-group here in Den Helder. It was based upon "the Mighty Ducks" mixed with Jason from "Friday the 13th"

After a Hareraiser I decided to do a Freddy Krueger spin on it and that became "A nighthare on Elm Street.

Hareraiser

This was based upon a drawing I made for the exam-year. I created a Hellraiser-Bambi which got a lot of attention. This is a parody and mash-up of a famous rabbit and the horror franchise Hellraiser.

Hareraiser: it will tear your carrot apart!

Predator Bunny

Created: 24-10-97

The last drawing made for my black book before switching to Photoshop and experimenting with that. A very simple drawing compared to other work. The closure of an era for me.

Wicked

Created: Spring 1998

In the spring of 1998 I created my well-known character: Wicked. What started as a simple sketch became a figure who pops up almost everywhere. He is mostly known from my X-mas animations in which he had the lead more than once. Don’t ask me what he is, I don’t even know, but it’s the favorite character I’ve created.

Velociraptor

After Jurassic Park was released I created this pencildrawing of a Velociraptor.

Demon

A simple freestyle demon. Created with the Clown from Spawn in the back of my mind.

Forbidden For Skaters

Forbidden For Skaters

Created: 1996

When Hardcore rised in the 90’s it was to a lot of frustration to a lot of people. The Skate-scene in particular seemed to have a deep hatred of every gabber on this planet/ I was in the middle of this having friends among skaters and gabbers. In response to papers going around with "Front Anti Gabber" I created this simple logo just to create a mirror for the skaters and their hatred. Luckily, the almost destruction of the hardcore-scene in 1998 stopped most people from concentrating their negativity on gabbers. Nowadays this drawing breathes nostalgia to me; an echo of an era long over.

Halloween

Halloween

A simple drawing with Michael Meyers from the Halloween series and a chick. I can’t stop wondering, looking at it now, why he has got such a big crotch?
