Production

EvolutionI started producing on my iMac G4 with Reason in early 2005. Back then it was just a computer and the standard speakers that came with it. I bought an M-Audio Keystation 49e for creating melodies but other than that it was plain and simple. In 2008 I decided it was time to take a more professional step. I cleared the room where my turntables and mixer were standing and threw in a new desk, a new iMac and 2 KRK RP6se speakers. After that I bought an Evolution UC-33 midi-controller to have more flexible control over my virtaul equipments in Reason and Cubase.

Inkel MX-880I started out small. Had an Inkel MX880 mixer and two crappy turntables which only lasted for about a month or two, after that I replaced them in the fall of 1996 with two JB-Systems Disco 2000 turntables. These were beltdriven and ideal for learning how to much at a relively low cost. They were eventually replaced in may 2001 by a couple of Technics SL 1200MK2’s; the industry standard turntable. The Inkel Mixer was replaced by a Reloop RM-1000 pro. After that the only thing that expanded was my record collection which still grows every now and then.

 This is my current setup:
