About Me

Hi-ya! My name is MikeyMo.

If you’re reading this you probably want to know all about me, which scares the shit out of me and makes me wonder if you’ve got something called a "life". Get one of those, they’re really fun to experience!

Ok ok, just being sarcastic.

Since you’ve made it this far I might as tell you a little bit about me: I was born in 1978, which was the year of the horse according to the Chinese Calender, not that I care though. Being born in 1978 made me a kid in the 80’s. While the world was on the brink of a nuclear war I was happily playing with my Transformers and G.I. Joe’s. Ignorance is bliss they say, well my shildhood proved that! No worries of the Cold War mate! I think my childhood era, the 80’s, was the era that introduced material that could go on for decades. Transformers? They’s big Hollywood blockbuster movies nowadays. Knight Rider and the A-Team? Still on TV! So it’s fun to turn on a tv channel or watch a movie and still see today what I grew up upon!

Here I am, a grown man talking about stuff like Transformers... and you’re reading it!

Now where were we? Ah, well after primary school I ended up in the 90’s. Had my secundary education, grew pubes, got interested in girls, learned to love music, graduated from 2 schools, started to go to House Parties and reached maturity, although opinions beg to differ about that last thing. All in all it was a turbulent decade I must say, but then puberty is turbulent. All those raging hormones!

The 90’s were even more defining than the 80’s were for me. In 1993 I came into contact with Hardcore Housemusic. Loved that shit ever since! Picked up spinning records in 1996 and I’m still doing that today although not as much. Spare time is a rarity once you’re out of school and into the working life.
Next to Hardcore the seeds of my love for movies also were sowed in this decade. My VCR worked overtime and I consumed tons of flicks, especially horror films. My sick and twisted mind was really sculptured back then.

Djeez, you still reading this?

Nowadays I’m a Webdesigner; The Photoshop kind. Which is not what I intended to be when I was youngling. Yeah, I just made a Star wars reference... which is kind of geeky, I know. No, wanted to be a graphical artist, I was a really avid drawer. It was my favorite course in school too. Actually did an education in which it was possible to eventually become a graphical artist but ended up, like everybody else, behind the computer. Originally as a desktop publisher but before the end of this school I went into an audiovisual direction. Came into contact with stuff like 3D modelling, editing your own commercial, animating in Flash and... Webdesign. Funky shit!

That is what made me to who and what I am today.

That’s it! You made it this far? That must mean you either are really interested in me or a stalker... or worse: both! Oh well just don’t do anything stupid!
